Abstract

|
In order to establish the standard method for the preparation of processed Aconiti ciliare Tuber, we made it by steaming under various conditions with the tuber of Aconitum ciliare (Ranuncu-laceae). The composition and contents of alkaloids were analyzed by TLC and HPLC. The amount of aconitine alkaloids by TLC densitometry in processed Aconiti ciliare Tuber by steaming for 0.5 and 1 hour were respectively lower than nonprocessed one. And, the content of aconitine analyzed by HPLC in processed Aconti ciliate Tuber was reduced to 60% and 82% respectively in compared to nonprocessed one.
For an analgesic effect of various processed Aconiti ciliare Tuber, we used the method of writing syndrome induced by acetic acid in mice. We could see that processed one also had as good analgesic effect as nonprocessed one. The LD_(50) value of processing Aconiti ciliare Tuber was remarkably higher than nonprocessed one in mice administered orally (nonprocessed : 3.6g 1㎏, processed for 0.5 and 1hr : 8.6g/㎏ and 23.0g/㎏ respectively). So, we recognized that the processed Aconiti ciliare Tuber by steaming showed the good analgesic effect and detoxicated effect in mice.
